Crickhowell police seek information on local crime

Crickhowell police are appealing for witnesses to 2 separate thefts, at Duffryn road, Llangynidr and Williams garage, Cwmdu, after more than £1000 worth of equipment was stolen.

The first incident at llangynidr took place over night on Wednesday, February 5th.

A police spokesperson said, "thieves broke into a tradesman`s van and stole electrical equipment valued at £1,250. The rear window was completely removed from the van whilst it was parked on the owners drive at Duffryn road, Llangynidr.

This is a reminder for owners of commercial vehicles to either remove valuable items from their vehicles or fit a suitable alarm system."

In a second incident at Williams garage, overnight on Wednesday February 5th thieves stole red and blue hoses for oxyacetylene bottles after breaking in through a rear window.

"We are appealing for information about any suspicious vehicles or people seen in the area at that time," added the police spokesman.
